Dan Kraiss, LEED GA
Principal
Dan Kraiss is a founding principal of Box Studios Chicago. He has been in the industry for over 25 years, and his experience and dedication to the craft have earned him respect in the community. Dan's expertise in both design and construction has helped to create beautiful and functional spaces for clients of all sizes. He has a talent for understanding the needs of his clients and turning those needs into design solutions. Dan is also an active member of his community, and has been involved in numerous philanthropic efforts. He prides himself on being a leader in the design industry, and enjoys helping to shape the future of design. In his free time, Dan likes to race cars at the track and spend time in the mountains, hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.
Ferdinand Dimailig, AIA
Principal
Ferdinand Dimailig is a founding principal of Box Studios Chicago. Ferdinand has over 30 years of experience in the fields of architecture and interior design, with a focus on creating sustainable environments that are both functional and unique. Ferdinand is dedicated to designing spaces that foster collaboration, creativity, and wellness while being mindful of project budgets. He holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago and has taught various higher educational design classes at colleges in Chicago. Ferdinand is committed to creating meaningful, lasting relationships, and prides himself on providing impeccable service to his clients. When he is not working, Ferdinand has a variety of interests including all types of food, visual & performing arts, and museums. He is also a huge Chicago sports fan and junkie.
Jenna Rivera
Associate Principal
Jenna Rivera is an Associate Principal at BOX Studios with more than 20 years of experience in the design industry. Holding degrees in both Painting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Interior Design from the Illinois Institute of Art, she brings a unique blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and technical expertise to every project. As Associate Principal, Jenna serves as a trusted client advisor, leading project teams and fostering strong client relationships to ensure successful project delivery. She is responsible for mentoring staff, overseeing project execution, and driving account growth through exceptional service and thoughtful design solutions. Known for her collaborative leadership style, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, Jenna is passionate about transforming client visions into inspiring environments that support their business goals. Outside of work, Jenna enjoys playing volleyball, watching archaeology shows, and spending time with her family.
Carlos Rivera
Senior Technical Associate
Carlos Rivera is the Technical Director at Box Studios with over 30 years of experience in the industry working on projects ranging from small businesses to international corporations. His expertise in code research and technical detailing ensures that construction drawing sets are thorough and accurate. As an avid learner who loves sharing knowledge with others, Carlos is a natural mentor for BOX staff. His attention to detail and dedication to his clients make him an invaluable asset to the team at BOX Studios. In his free time, Carlos loves traveling and watching Chicago Cubs baseball.

Joey Clark
Director of Interior Design/Business Development
Joey has over 25 years of experience in interior design and project management, known for creating engaging environments that enhance customer experiences and strengthen brand identity. Her expertise covers the full design process, from concept to construction. A collaborative designer, Joey values long-term relationships and exceptional service. After working with brands like Shane Company, Starbucks, and Sports Authority, she expanded her perspective by joining an architectural firm as its first interior designer, gaining mentorship from diverse disciplines. Joey joined BOX Studios in 2022, bringing a wide-ranging portfolio in corporate, hospitality, fitness, retail, and restaurant design. She holds a Bachelor’s in Interior Design from Colorado State University and an MBA in Sustainable Business Practices from Marylhurst University. Joey is LEED Accredited and NCIDQ certified. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, traveling, wine tasting, and supporting her kids' sports activities.
